Van Gogh, Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin are said to have had one thing in common. Their love of the legendary notebook we now call Moleskine. For the past two centuries, this pocket-sized travel companion is thought to have held their sketches and stories.
In 1986 the original French manufacturer closed down. But 10 years ago a small Milanese publisher brought the notebook back to life under the name ‘Moleskine’ and once again it’s travelling the world. Terence Conran’s latest collection started life in the traditional little black notebook.
